The Ultimate…brownie recipe

November 19, 2012

After years (and years, and years, and years) of trying to make brownies; following the recipe to the letter and then biting into them only to find I’ve produced what is essentially a rectangular (and somewhat dry) cake, I have 0f37fcf8323011e2bbe622000a1d00e9_5finally found what can only be described as the holy grail of brownie recipes!

The recipe can be found on the BBC GoodFood website and is quite protracted, with the usual requirements to sieve the flour and cocoa powder, whisk the eggs for a lengthy period and fold the ingredients carefully together, however once all mixed together, they’re put into the oven for 25 minutes, and as if by magic, a perfect tin of brownies is produced.

The only alteration I would make to this perfect recipe is to double the amount of white and milk chocolate chunks (100g rather than 50g) incorporated into the mixture as you don’t really taste them otherwise.
